A piece of sheer raunchy frivolity. Two naked lads, a hunky bottom and a twink top, both wearing Santa caps, meet in a 12/1 mailer ad for a scene from Falcon’s gay porn flick Cum All Ye Faithful. Bottom Beau Butler has a package, a box, to offer top Trevor Brooks, who has pulled his briefs down to show what he’s got available to put into Butler’s package:

Yes, it’s a little festival of wordplay, starting with the name Beau Butler, suggesting a handsome serving-man, and then, who put the butt in Butler? Enthusiastic bottom-man Beau, that’s who! (I’ve posted several times about BB, who’s a favorite of mine.) Plus the latent play on package (a package is shown but not named), which in gay male slang can refer to a man’s gluteal package as well as to his genital package; and the latent play on box (a box is shown but not named), which in gay male slang refers to a man’s anus as a sexual object (by metaphor from the vaginal usage).
This ad mailer ends with an outrageous (because phonologically distant) raunchy pun:
(#2) A pun on Touch yourself, a very indirect euphemism instructing you to masturbate, to jack off (which is what gay porn is for, getting the user off)
As for the Santa caps, I would have said that in Falcon’s Christmas Pornland, every man is a Santa, giving freely of his gifts — except that I’ve seen enough notice of coming scenes from CAYF to know that there are characters in green Christmas Elf costumes in it, and they wear green elf caps. But Santa caps are everywhere in this movie — including in the ad for the whole thing, which I posted in my 11/24/23 posting “Cum All Ye Faithful”:

The Falcon p.r. description for the scene in #1, in increasingly purple prose, ending in a climax of unhinged porn talk:
Trevor Brooks has to ask ex-boyfriend Beau Butler for a favor, but the Yuletide reunion of these old flames quickly turns into something more as Beau drops to his knees to blow Trevor’s big dick in front of the Christmas tree. Taking over the living room couch, the versatile lovers go from sucking to rimming to fingering each other until they’re flip-fucking bareback under the tree’s bright lights. Like no time has passed, the two keep swapping positions across the couch with Beau’s uncut cock then covering his own bush in cum and Trevor unleashing himself all over Beau’s furry taint.
(I don’t think I’ve ever seen the verb unleash oneself used in quite this fashion before. And furry taint is sweetly quaint.)
I note here that Beau Butler has made a career out of being amiably, in fact passionately, fuckable. His porn characters let you know that they just love to get fucked, and in interviews the actor who portrays these characters says he does too. However, the man is an earnest actor, and if the script calls for him to fuck other guys, well, then, of course he’ll do that with gusto too. Apparently, this scene exploits Butler’s versatility-as-needed to the hilt, and might be worth watching to see how he pulls it off.
Just a week after I posted #3, I posted a Tom of Finland Santa, the December image in my ToF calendar for 2023. It’s in b&w, which ToF tended to use for serious portraiture (he did a lot of faces). From my 12/1/23 posting “ToF’s December 2023 Santa Claus”:
(#4) Focus on the head: this Santa is smiling pleasantly with his eyes, and he’s wearing a Santa cap that seems to be made of real, functionally warm stuff — trimmed fur or shearling — and the same material provides the lapels of his coat and the cuffs of his coat and boots (about the beard I will not judge); so the image is a pastiche of realistic elements and fantasy elements (the pecs, the abs, the hyperbolic moose-knuckle)
The Santa cap in #4 stands in stark contrast to the ones in #1 and #3, which make no pretense to be anything other than stage props. No one would take them to be useful; their primary function is clearly to signal holiday playfulness, like the Santa caps people wear in Christmas / Santa runs at this time of the year.
